Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with their daily personal care and activities
as assigned and/or requested in accordance with the service
plan.
- Perform daily laundry and housekeeping tasks as assigned using
established procedures and standards.
- Review and participate in 24-hour reports, shift change reports
and verbal reports as needed.
- Assist residents to and from scheduled life enrichment
programs.
- Promote personal choices, independence and spiritual needs as
needed.
- Provide verbal encouragement and support to residents.
- Prioritize tasks to ensure optimum services to residents as
requests and needs change.
- Communicate with the Director of Health & Wellness when a
resident's needs have changed.
- Communicate with other departments as residents' needs arise
during the shift.
- Respond to resident pendant/wearable calls in a timely
manner.
- Ensure compliance with new resident care needs.
- Assure that established infection control practices are
maintained.
- Report all accidents and incidents, regardless of how minor, as
soon as possible to supervisor.
- Maintain the confidentiality of residents' personal care
information.
- Honor and respect the residents' personal and property
rights.
- Be knowledgeable and prepared for emergency situations
including disasters, fire, and other emergencies.Skills &
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant/ Home Health Aid preferred.
- CPR certification / First Aid certification preferred.
- Must complete all state and Experience Senior Living specified
training programs.
- Must possess a passion to work with and around senior
citizens.
- Ability to work varied schedules to include weekends, evenings,
and holidays.
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions and short
correspondence and write simple correspondence.
- Able to effectively communicate and present information in 1 on
1 and/or small group settings to customers, residents, team
members, all levels of management, vendors, referral sources and
outside contacts.
- Able to make independent decisions and apply common sense
understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal
instructions.
- Connect and help residents transition from home to community
through warm, thoughtful and helpful engagement while
simultaneously building credibility and rapport with every
interaction.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices and able
to apply them when handling difficult situations.
- Professional, clean and neat attire according to dress code
policy required.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of service delivery; goes
above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction prioritizing
customer needs and properly deals with service failures.
- Able to work cooperatively with a group of people to achieve
goals and objectives.
- Exhibits integrity, trustworthiness and fosters an ethical work
environment; prevents inappropriate behavior by coworkers; gives
proper credit to others.
- Able to keep an open mind, be tolerant, respectful and
accepting of new information.
- Adapts to varying customer needs; performs a variety of tasks
